I know this might not matter to most people, but I think it can help other people who read what America writes.

America sounds like Gene Kelly. He's got that youthful, higher range voice that sounds boyish. He speaks with a Transatlantic accent. This is accent is what all radio stars, television stars, and motion picture stars were trained in back in the 1930's-1950's. It's also called "Boarding School Accent." It is, in my opinion, the quintessential American accent.

I can't promise his French is as good as Gene Kelly's. But if you ever wonder how America sounds, or at least my America, he sounds like Gene Kelly.

As an aside, Alfred can speak in all the various dialects and accents his citizens use. He tends to only use them in the area of their origin. It's a means of blending in - appearing to be one's neighbor or old friend. Someone from the Bronx will hear a Bronx accent. Someone from Texas will get that Texas drawl. And so on and so forth.

To all the other nations, he sounds like one of his old time movie stars - particularly Gene Kelly. =)

Kissing this character: Depends. If he likes them, he won't mind. But we're talking on the cheek here. Kissing of his lips is reserved for people he trusts enough to get that close.
Flirting with this character: Yes. He'll probably flirt back!
Fighting with this character: Yes but do realize he will fight back. So if we want a certain outcome of a fight, let's plan it out first, otherwise you might be facing down a full nuclear arsenal.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Depends. I've yet to have him injured. Emotional/mental injuries I think have been done and he bounces back rather quickly from those. Physical injuries...well he hasn't been in any fights! So this would be planned out along with the course of an altercation.
Killing this character: No. I reserve the sole right to killing him. No one else is allowed to.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Yes. Chances are he will find this to be really cool unless he doesn't like the person who is reading his mind.

Warnings:

Alfred is very energetic and very friendly. He's never really out there looking for someone to beat up or annoy. But he also isn't out there to sow his wild oats. In fact, he is married, and while that isn't documented in any livejournal RPs, it has happened. So chances are he will not have sex with your character unless he thinks the risk is worth it. He really only lets people he trusts that close to him, and for the most part they have mainly been Canadas (they know him best after all). He loves children so if you have a child character, he will try really hard to befriend them and then can be counted on to come to their rescue if the need ever arises. If you're looking for an America who will get violent, will be angry or sad, or will screw the brains out of England, then this America is not for you. But he does like England - England is one of his best friends and in his heart of hearts, is still his big brother. So please, if you're an England, say hi. The two of you will have snarky, dorky, scenarios. And by all means, if your character wants to say hi, then let them! This America really holds no prejudices against his past enemies or current headaches. Maybe that's OOC but it's how he is. He's out there for a good time, not to bring real life drama to our RP world.

So I am back from all my vacations and what not aaaannnddd and I have no idea where to begin with aphdr. Do I just jump in and comment on any post I fancy? Or should I introduce myself? Any advice would be welcomed! m(__)m
